The Brief
Reliant was feeling a little held back and stifled by their provider with little to no access over the look, feel and functionality of the website, Any new features were released in bulk to all suppliers making it harder to compete and stand out from the crowd.
They wanted to decouple, the website, take ownership and embark on a journey to re-align the website with their customers, knowing that by doing this they would create a sustainable platform to facilitate their growth and hit their own targets.
Our task was to work with their design agency to create a truly customer-centric website that also connected to their existing ERP whilst helping them to highlight new areas for growth.
Our Answer
The new website was designed with Tailwind in mind which Hyva our chosen framework is based on, this meant that we would be starting with a lean, fast and efficient theme base for their brand-new website.
Whilst the design team were off doing their thing we ran our discovery workshop with the Reliant team, mapping our strategy of switching to a new domain, working out what functionality we no longer required 3rd party modules for and meetings with their ERP provider nCompass so that we could build custom functionality to handle stock, back ordering and offers.
To add a bit more drama we had 8 weeks to get the website live and ready to tackle Black Friday and Cyber Monday. After the go-live, we’ve continued working with Reliant to improve their store even further by bringing in a custom checkout, deeper integration with payment providers and a whole load more.
The Result
The stats speak for themselves with a whopping 141% increase in turnover whilst the market itself is contracting. Each month we are having strategy meetings around conversion rate optimisation to unlock more growth and continue the journey they’ve set out for their business.
