Rapid Growth for Handmade Sofa Retailer.
Leading luxury furniture retailer, Willow & Hall is one of the original manufacturers offering British-designed, customisable sofas, beds and accessories.
Frustrated by the lack of quality furniture available, Sarah Massouh began designing at her kitchen table. Incorporating timeless style, quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, Willow & Hall had outgrown the capabilities of Magento 1, which no longer provided vital security updates.
Migration to Magento 2 turbocharged site performance and delivered the advanced functionality needed to grow the business, whilst eradicating the daily management headaches experienced by their in-house team.
The Problem.
Increasingly frequently, the inhouse team reported daily management headaches with Magento 1. But when Adobe announced that the original platform would no longer support payment processing app, Opayo, (formerly Sage Pay), it was the right time to migrate to the more advanced, enhanced Magento 2.
During their discovery session, we learnt that the existing stock management system was complicated, tedious, and time-consuming; promotions were complex and therefore, it was easy for errors to occur. Improvements were required to streamline customer orders of fabric swatch samples and glitches within the integration of their cloud-based CRM, SalesForce, was also restricting company growth.
How we Helped.
Not only was Magento 2 the best platform for Willow & Hall’s growth ambitions, it was the only platform with the ability to custom-build configurations required for their bespoke furniture builder and sample ordering system.
The enhanced capabilities of Magento 2 delivered synergy with SalesForce, whilst improved third-party integrations streamlined the stock management system, making inventory administration a piece of cake, by comparison.
With the backend restructured for operational efficiency, we installed Hyvä themes within the checkout process, creating a user-first journey. By prioritising page load speed, performance, and customer experience to boost conversions, Willow & Hall increased their online sales by 15%.
Enhancing the Customer Experience.
Willow & Hall’s bespoke furniture/product builder is the foundation of their product offering, providing an array of tailored, customisation options and exceptional consumer choice. This afforded all the functionality required by the site visitor to deliver real value to the customer.
Increased Customer Engagement.
Reducing the high visitor bounce rate and removing potential barriers to conversion was essential. The UX redesign focused on the consumer’s journey through the site, removing roadblocks and reducing any usability frustrations. By increasing engagement, and the time consumers spent on-site, we increased the numbers of orders being placed.
Reducing Dropout
Their bounce rate was pretty high, the new UX needed to address the hurdles that were frustrating customers whilst making the customer journey seamless, fast and intuitive.
What did this mean for Willow & Hall?
This section is missing from the content on the dev site. I’m not sure what you planned to add in this section, but either 3-4 bullets highlighting the benefits and/or the statistical results would be good to reiterate the success before ending with a CTA. You may add a design element here, rather than ‘increased’, ‘improved’ etc… I’ll leave that to your clever design team.
- Streamlined operational efficiency
- Improved functionality & features deliver added value
- Increased engagement & better customer experience
- Greater times spent on site by visitors
- Faster page load speed & ultra-responsive performance
- Higher Google Core Web Vitals and SEO scores
