Congratulations Mat!
Congratulations Mat!
Following the success of Actuate Digital over the past 12 months our founder and director Mat O’Connor decided he wanted to give something back to the community and set himself a challenge at the same time. So he decided he would cycle 100 miles and raise awareness of a cause close to his heart. And what a challenge it was! Mat set off to Bamber Bridge, Preston On Sunday 15th May to take part in the Four counties 100 mile bike ride to raise money for St Catherine’s hospice care. Mat also raised money through just giving for TACT (The adolescent and children’s trust) based in Liverpool and it’s safe to say he smashed it, with the current total standing at £300.
For those of you who don’t know Mat. Mat likes cycling and sometimes falls off his bicycle. So we were all a bit worried when he told us that he’d be cycling across Lancashire, Liverpool, Cheshire and Manchester all in one day! Luckily this time he only managed to fall off once and graze his knee, but like the trooper he is, he carried on finishing with a commendable time of 7 hours 49 minutes.
I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mat on completing his ride, and for raising money for a well-deserved charity that can really make a difference to people’s lives.
Congratulations Mat!
